James Dahlgren, Jr. Selected as 2022 40 Under 40 Honoree by the Baltimore Business Journal
WPM Real Estate Management President James Dahlgren, Jr., has been selected by the Baltimore Business Journal as a “40 Under 40” winner for 2022. The award spotlights those greater Baltimore area leaders under the age of 40 who are making significant career achievements and demonstrating social responsibility. Dahlgren was chosen from a pool of 270 nominations and is being recognized at a special Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 17, 2022.
“Jim is a thoughtful and compassionate leader,” says WPM Chairman Mark Caplan. “He has an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right – for our clients, our employees, our residents, and the community. His leadership through the pandemic not only supported the needs of our people and those we serve, but it also safeguarded business operations and ensured WPM navigated the pandemic with no lost jobs. This recognition is well-deserved.”
Dahlgren was appointed President of WPM Real Estate Management, one of the region’s premier property management firms, in 2018. Prior to his appointment, he served as Vice President and Director of Business Development and Corporate Marketing. Joining WPM as an intern in 2005, he returned in 2007 as a full-time Assistant Property Manager and has held multiple roles across the firm, each with increasing corporate responsibility. Dahlgren’s experience also includes budget forecasting, investment analysis and deal underwriting for market rate and senior living assets.
As President, Dahlgren has led expansion of the company’s geographic footprint into Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. He oversees the company’s 450+ employees and the more than 50,000 residents, homeowners and tenants WPM serves. Dahlgren leads a passionate team of Associates who share the belief that “together we can achieve more” – affecting positive change and improving the lives of others.
